ICE HOUSE GALLERY is the newest addition to historic Washington, VA. Opened just this year by portrait artist Linda Lawler, the gallery is located at 291-B Main Street, next door to the The Heritage House Bed & Breakfast and just one and a half blocks from the world famous "Inn at Little Washington".

Ice House Gallery features the work of Linda Lawler, show-casing her portraits as well as still-life and landscape paintings. In addition to Linda's work, the gallery will have several juried shows each year featuring a variety of artists from around the world. Of special interest is the 1st Annual Little Washington Miniatures Painting Exhibition. Beautiful and affordable, these tiny paintings are the gems of the art world. This year's Miniatures Show is scheduled in October to coincide with peak of the Autumn leaf viewing season. Enjoy fine art and the stunning scenery of Fall in the Blue Ridge Mountains!

In addition to fine art, the Ice House Gallery features beautiful, one of a kind jewelry items, gifts, hand-painted porcelain and note-cards. Also remember this is a working studio. Linda works at her easel daily. Visitors are welcome to watch her at work and follow the creation of a portrait, still-life, or landscape painting.

It is often the diminutive that holds the greatest impact and this small gallery makes a big impression!

PLEIN AIR WORKSHOPS WITH LINDA LAWLER AT BARREL OAK WINERY!

Enjoy a wonderful day painting in the vineyard, learning tips to improve your work and make plein air painting more enjoyable. Early morning instruction and painting. Mid-day bagged lunch break and wine tastings. Later, share a glass or bottle with like minded artists on the patio with more afternoon tips and instruction. All levels of ability and all mediums are welcome.

Four different workshops are offered; register for one or all four! June 25th, July 16th, September 23rd, and October 8th, 2009. Hours are 9:00am - 2:00pm.
